Due to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and higher energy efficiency, the tendency from conventional vehicles to electric vehicles has increased. One of the most important issues related to electric vehicles is its speed control. To effectively control the speed of electric vehicles, it is necessary to design an accurate and highly reliable controller. In this paper, a 2DOF-PIDF controller is designed for electric vehicle speed control due to its good performance in speed tracking, robustness against disturbances and uncertainty of system parameters. Also, to improve the performance of the 2DOF-PIDF controller in electric vehicle speed control, the grey wolf algorithm is used to adjust the parameters of the proposed controller. The proposed algorithm has a simple structure and high convergence speed. In order to investigate the performance of the proposed control method in several scenarios, it is compared with Arc tan PID, PID and NL-PID controllers. According to the results, the improved 2DOF-PIDF controller has a favorable performance compared to other controllers and was able to quickly track the speed of the electric vehicle, and also had better performance in terms of indicators such as maximum overshoot and deflection settling time, improving these two indicators by 100% and 40%, respectively. |
