 | Last update: 2026/09/16 |

The Iranian Electric Industry Journal of Quality and Productivity (IEIJQP) recognizes the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI tools in scholarly research and academic writing.
The journal requires that the use of such tools be transparent and consistent with research integrity and publication ethics.
Authors
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for appropriate purposes such as language improvement, grammar correction, formatting, or other legitimate forms of assistance.
When generative AI is used beyond routine language correction, editing, or formatting, authors should disclose its use appropriately in the manuscript or submission process.
Authors remain fully responsible for:
•    the accuracy of the manuscript;
•    the originality of the work;
•    the validity of data and results;
•    the correctness of citations and references; and
•    any content generated or modified using AI tools.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
Generative AI tools should not be cited as authors or as independent scholarly sources.
Reviewers
Reviewers must protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
Reviewers should not upload confidential manuscript content to generative AI systems for the purpose of generating review reports or assessments.
Reviewers remain responsible for the confidentiality, accuracy, and integrity of their reviews.
Editors
Editors should not use generative AI tools to generate editorial decisions or peer review reports from confidential manuscript content.
Any use of automated tools by the journal should be appropriately supervised by human editorial personnel.
Human Oversight
Any use of AI or automated tools in the editorial process must remain subject to appropriate human oversight.
The use of AI tools does not transfer responsibility for scientific or editorial decisions from authors, reviewers, or editors to the technology used.
Undeclared Use
Where the journal has reasonable concerns about undisclosed or inappropriate use of AI tools, the Editorial Office may request clarification from the authors or take appropriate action in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
